You will enjoy a delicious breakfast at your Luxor hotel. Around 6 a.m., you will transfer to Luxor International Airport to catch your flight to Cairo.
Upon arrival in Cairo, your private guide will accompany you to begin your day trips around Cairo. First, you will visit the Egyptian Museum, which houses the largest collection of Egyptian antiquities in the world, including King Tutankhamun's treasures.
Afterwards, your personal driver and guide will take you to Salah El Din Citadel, including the alabaster mosque of Mohamed Ali, enjoying panoramic views of Islamic Cairo's ancient mosques, minarets, and domes, some over a thousand years old.
You will enjoy lunch at an amazing restaurant, then go to Coptic Cairo to visit the Roman fortress of Babylon, the Hanging Church suspended above its ancient bastions, and the church of St. Sergius with its crypt, where the holy family stayed. You will also visit Ben Ezra Synagogue, said to be the site of the pharaoh's palace where baby Moses was found.
Your guide will continue driving you through Islamic Cairo to spend time with locals in the historic Khan El Khalili bazaar.
You will check into your Cairo hotel and stay overnight.
